How do I adjust my mirrors?

If you need to adjust your mirrors please follow the below instructions:

  • The bar end mirror is held in place by a rubber sleeve that is compressed (expanded) from the inside by a nut. This nut is wound tight on a bolt by the use of a 5mm Allen key on the outside of the mirror assembly.

  • The rubber sleeve allows the mirror to move just enough to reduce harm to anyone hit by the mirror when the bike is moving, and also lessen the likelihood of the mirror smashing on minor daily impacts.

  • The torque of the bolt is set at the factory to 6 Nm.

  • The mirror can be adjusted forwards, backward, and laterally via the ball joint between the mirror arm and the mirror disc.

  • NB: when adjusting the mirror at the ball joint it is important to hold the arm to avoid movement at the handlebar mirror connection point.

  • If the necessary, forward and backward adjustment can not be achieved via the movement in the ball joint then the mirror should not be pushed or pulled using the leverage of the mirror arm to overcome the friction of the rubber sleeve; as this will cause damage to the rubber sleeve and cause the mirror to loosen.

  • If large forward or backward movement is necessary then the 5mm Allen key should first be loosened to lessen the friction of the rubber sleeve, and then when the correct alignment is achieved, re-tightened (to 6Nm).
