What is the recommended cleaning steps I should follow with my Maeving Motorcycle?

Regular cleaning will keep your Maeving Motorcycle looking its best and help maintain the quality of the bike. Please follow the guidelines below to keep it in peak condition:

• Do not use acidic or harsh cleaning products. Only use pH-neutral products designed for motorcycles or cars.
• Do not use high-pressure water sprays, as these can damage bearings and electrical components.
• Do not direct water at the wheel, swingarm, or headstock bearings. This can force grease out of the bearings and cause premature wear.
• In winter, we recommend spraying non-painted aluminium parts with a transparent protective spray.
• Take care when cleaning the seat, instruments, and electrical components. Use a pH-neutral cleaner and minimise the amount of water used.
• To remove dead insects or tar, use a good-quality tar remover and follow the instructions on the bottle.

To safely wash your Maeving Motorcycle, follow these steps:

• Avoid washing your Maeving Motorcycle in direct sunlight.
• Rinse the bike with cool water to remove loose dirt or grit.
• Using a pH-neutral car or motorcycle shampoo, wash your Maeving Motorcycle with a non-abrasive sponge, soft cloth, or lambswool wash mitt.
• Rinse your cloth regularly while washing to ensure no grit is trapped, as this can scratch the surfaces of your Maeving Motorcycle.
• After cleaning, rinse your Maeving Motorcycle thoroughly with plenty of clean water to remove any detergent residue that could damage component finishes.
• Dry the bike with a clean, soft microfibre drying cloth, making sure there are no areas where water is left to collect, as this can leave marks.
• To remove water between the brake discs and pads, gently push the bike and then apply the brakes.
• Once dry, painted surfaces can be polished and protected with a good-quality automotive wax to provide a high-quality shine.
