What factors can affect the speed on a Maeving Motorcycle?
The ride mode you select will determine the top speed, while extreme temperatures, wind, incline, and the weight of the rider will impact the actual speed (and range) that the bike delivers.
On the RM1S and RM2, Sport (S) mode allows the bike to reach its maximum speed of 70 mph, with no optimisation for range. Mode (1) limits the top speed to 45 mph, making it suitable for dual carriageways and providing some optimisation for battery range and power delivery. Mode (E) caps the speed at 30 mph, extending range while still giving you enough power for busier, smaller inner-city roads.
On the RM1, Ride (1) mode allows the bike to reach its maximum speed. Mode (2) caps the top speed at 28 mph, making it well suited to outer urban roads, while Mode (3) limits the bike to 20 mph for inner-city riding. In modes (2) and (3) you may notice reduced power delivery, as these modes are designed to optimise range.
