Does power decrease with low battery?

Once the battery drops below 40% State of Charge, the motor begins to derate. In practice, this means the peak power the motor can deliver is gradually reduced as the remaining charge decreases. The reduction is linear, so the lower the State of Charge falls, the more the maximum available power is limited. You’ll still be able to ride normally, but hard acceleration and top performance will be progressively restricted to protect the battery and help you reach your destination more reliably.
