Why is there a “petrol tank” on the bike?Updated a year ago

The top of the "petrol tank" pops open, and inside you have 10L of lockable storage space. It's perfect for carrying valuables, motorcycling gloves, or a change of shoes. It also contains a USB-C charging port so you can charge a device while riding.

If you're using the second battery, it slots into this tank, connecting automatically once inserted. The two batteries run in parallel to give you up to 80 miles of range – so you don't have to switch them out when one is running low. The computer will draw from both batteries so that neither one is run completely flat – this helps to optimise their lifespan. If you're running the bike off just one battery, it always goes in the silver rectangular section below the tank.
