What are the differences between the Full Power (45 mph) and Restricted Power (28 mph) versions of the Maeving RM1?Updated 4 months ago
The Full Power RM1 (also referred to as the Maeving L3 variant) has a maximum speed of 45 mph and is classed as an electric 125cc equivalent. The Restricted Power RM1 (also referred to as the Maeving L1 variant) has a maximum speed of 28 mph and is classed as an electric 50cc equivalent – it’s the same bike, the speed has just been electronically restricted.
There are two key reasons why customers may wish to order a Restricted Power RM1:
- The first is in the case that the customer is aged 16, as they will legally be allowed to ride it if they hold a provisional car licence and a CBT licence.
- The second is in the case that the customer
- Passed their car licence test before 1st February 2001 and;
- Does not wish to do any additional licensing or ride with L plates.
